Dubious ORFs Defined
ORFs which are not conserved in other Saccharomyces species and for which there is no experimental evidence that a gene product is produced in S. cerevisiae. Many ORFs classified as "Dubious" are small and overlap a larger ORF of the class "Verified" or "Uncharacterized"; however, overlap with another ORF does not mandate that an ORF be classified as "Dubious."
